Inspired by my time in Felton Trading live trading room, this ind. is a multi selectable MA(currently BMCollectiveMAv2, EMA, EMADouble, TEMA, EMAZeroLag, HATEMAZeroLag, TEMAZeroLag, HMA, HoltEMA, JMA, LinReg, SMA, TMA, TSF, VWMA, WMA) with offset bands based on ATR, Range, or Tick. Besides being pretty, this ind. when properly "matched" to the instrument it gives a good indication of direction change. Obviously, no guarantee for how long.
Exported from NT.0.1000.2
V2: Added more MAs as listed above. Can now access MA value. Added some extra options. Upper & Lower plots change color to match shading, when not set to Transparent.
I pulled this together at the request of Jeff Castille. It is the Trade Strength Index with a histogram and color changes for all sorts of stuff including changing the background color and a MA slope bar on line Zero which lets you select a double or single MA to calculate the slope on. I think Jeff and crew found most of the bugs and I corrected them. As usual YMMV. Exported in NTv7.

Here is a Line Break chart with sticks and wicks. The chart shows the normal Line Break Type on the left and the Better Line Break type on the right.
You can join us on this thread for discussion about the line type usage.
This is version 7.1. [I inadvertantly deleted the original posting when I tried to update the line types...sad face]
To add this Data Series to your machine, download the file and Import it through NT's File Utilities. Then RESTART NinjaTrader. (Yes you have to restart because this is a Data Series, not an indicator). Once you've started back up, BetterLineBreak will show up in your Data Series Type options.
This is NT7 only. It took me longer than I wanted to figure out NT7, someone else will have to get an NT6.5 version running.

this is a simple bollinger band width indicator.
when the line is low indicates a sqeeze on the bollinger according to recent band history.
its a nice visual if that's part of your trading system.
in the pic, the bollinger indicator is the bband2 fwiw.
btw can anyone fix the bband2 so that the shaded area between the 2 standard deveation lines will stay the color that you choose even after refreshing the page? that would be really nice.
this is an auto trendline indicator that was on the Ninja forum. Be sure to click true for all of the downtrend/uptrend settings and to fix the colors of the lines for up/dwn trend.
it would be great if we had the ability to adjust the width of the lines. alas in this one the width is set.
it doesn't cast an arrow like our old auto trendline which is helpful for me but it might be a nice option if anyone goes to improving it.
mostly i like that it shows the squeeze of trendlines by plotting overhead lines as well. on the 3 minute ES i'm using the setting of Long Term Period: 9 and Short Term Period of: 90 i know that sounds crazy but that's what gave me the screen shot attached. hope it helps.

01/25/2011 Revised Code....added "O" indication flag for OutSide Bars... modified defaults to give better results.
Exported from NinjaTrader 7.0.1000.2
This indicator can be used to help learn the Al Brooks "bar system".
H/L Bars:
Finds and labels "H" and "L" bars with a text letter above the candle.
(does not count them...you'll have to do your own counting for L1 L2...H1 H2 etc.)
Inside Bars:
Finds and flags "Inside Bars"....
(brackets the candle with Up triangle and Down triangle).
Outside Bars:
Finds and flags "outside Bars"....default prints both H and L on the bar....change the setting and the indicator will decide on H or L, depending on prior candle.
Color of text and triangle flags is completely configurable, as is the Font size/type, and 'offset spacing from the candle.

This is an incomplete implementation of the strategy @mattz used as an example in his webinar. Take it and do what you want with it. See more about it's Todo's and remaining issues here.

This strategy trades off the Tenkan/Kijun Crossover from the Ichimoku indicator. A new position is opened when there is a crossover, and the lot size is dependent on signal strength. For example, if a short signal occurs below the cloud (Kumo), then the strategy opens 2 lots since this is considered a strong signal. If a short signal occurs above the cloud (Kumo), then the strategy only opens 1 lot since this is considered a weak signal.
This EA is coded compliments of James Stanley at FXCM.
January 18th, 2011 03:31 PM Jason Rogers Hi skyland, the .FXD file will only work with the Strategy Trader platform. Do you have it downloaded onto your compute
r? If so, the file can be imported into the platform using the Strategy Trader Editor.

August 28th, 2012 08:42 AM capsmart Nice job but I would like to use 10 instead of 3. It will not work.
May 3rd, 2011 05:16 PM Adamus Hi Mindset, thanks for uploading this - nicely done. Just one small issue - the "every nth bar" refuses to let itself be
set to anything but 3.
February 28th, 2011 04:15 PM jabeztrading Very handy when testing code. Thank you.
January 26th, 2011 09:09 PM fusion This is very useful indicator which indicates bar number with not too crowded intervals. Thanks to Mindset. fusion

July 22nd, 2013 12:54 AM Amsterdam Whale I'm so awed at this particular moment by the power of groups of strangers sharing one particular goal.... we give wholeh
