SMAv1 - Rounded Values

This indicator has an option that allows the moving average to be plotted using values rounded to the nearest tick. I find this very useful at times to reduce the whipsaws. There are 2 indicators available, SMA and EMA. SMA is the default with a period and a smoothing period. So a period of 14 with a smooth of 1 results in the standard SMA. A period of 1 and smooth of 14 results in a standard EMA. Could probably do better with that but it works and I don't feel like changing it. Setting "Use Rounded" to true results in a plot using the values rounded to the nearest tick. There are also a few other options that you can explore on your own by changing the parameters.

The picture shows both a rounded and normal version.

Inverted Charts v1.0

Here is a method to invert charts of VIX, ZN, ZF, ZB if you prefer looking at the mirror image rather the default chart. Full credit to the folks over at Ninjatrader for posting this.

The indicator draws a mirror image of the default chart as a line chart, candlesticks are not supported. The dataseries you want to invert should be specified in the "Input Series" option of indicator. See link above for notes on the custom range.

The indicator creates target bands as an offset around selectable MA, for estimation of different price targets.

These bands are based on ATR which reflects instrument volatility.

I add the following features to enable maximum flexibility:

Imp: Extract VolumeLadderMetroEditionV2.cs file from Zip file Indicator.zip and place in
C:\Users\<userName>\Documents\NinjaTrader 7\bin\Custom\Indicator. Then Open any indicator for editing in NT7 and compile the indicator. This Process make , VolumeLadderMetroEditionV2 , to appear in indicator list on applying to chart. Without this process indicator will not be visible for apply.

Can someone code this? Plot a dot when the bars with open, high low ,close are all the same. tick bars (say 500 tick bar).

New Highs and Lows

Exported using NT Version 7.0.1000.15

This is a simple indicator, which detects new highs and lows. The highs and lows can be shown both as paintbars or as diamonds.

The definition of a new high can be either based on the bar high or the bar close. A new high based on the bar high is the highest high over the lookback period. A new high based on the bar close is the highest close over the lookback period. The same logic is applied to new lows, which can also be calculated from the bar lows or the bar closes.

With default settings the bar detects new 89-bar highs and lows.

The indicator works on both candlesticks and OHLC bars.

Update August 10, 2013: New highs and lows can be either based on high/low or on the close of the current bar. Highs and lows can be either shown as paintbars or as diamonds. Efficiency of algorithm improved.

Reverse Engineered RSI Upper_LowerBands v1

This is a composite of three RSIEngineeredRSI's using TOS's standard version. The settings are 60,50,40. It is interesting to see how price "rides" a band, "breaks out/down" and reenters, and how 50 can act as support/resistance.
