Cloud hopping

Jump from cloud to cloud. Exit when you go into the cloud (white) enter when you pop back out. Really just a souped up - 5 ema / 8 sma cross with the slope of the 5 ema clouding up if it is not steep enough. Should keep you out of the chop. I use on range bars.

color last

this indicator colors a bar green if its close is above the prior close. The idea is to go with trend ie if 2 green bars trend is up. the example uses 2 range chart, type 2r hit enter to switch to 2 range chart.

version 3.0 - changed colors save correctly and restore correctly

Version 2.0 - in previous version, upon restart, the color selector parameters came up empty, in this version I made it so they default to Red, Yellow, and Green even if you had saved your workspace with other colors selected. I will keep investigating for a proper fix.

ColorInputSeriesSlopeChanges 1.0

I created a universal indicator that will alter the color based on slope change of "ANY" distinct, single-value dataseries in any panel. (I was reading Sharky�s thread and could not find the one he mentioned so I made one)

To use this, you need to learn how to define the input series for the indicator (all done via the NT7 UI). I created a thread in BMT that walks through this concept. You can also use NT7 help to learn how to do this.

In the supplied screen shot, the default input series is the 6E 12-11 (4 Range. For the indicator I changed it to be the EMA(20).

You can use �ANY� other available dataseries as input and the color change will be applied. No programing required; upper Bollinger band, lower Keltner band, HMA, TSI, MACD, etc� any indicator you have on your system can be used as the input dataseries for this indicator.

You can change the colors used, the defaults are Red (down), Yellow(same or peak), or Green(up).

Yellow can indicate values that are identical but it can also represent what I call Peak. The Peak value is the bar that is the apex of the slope change (ie from up to down). You can also toggle the display of Peak off or on.

Many thanks to the creator of the Congestion Box for Range Bars, jabeztrading, who posted his NT7 indie on FIO 10 years ago next month. Since that time a few traders, especially BobC, have continued to update and add functionality to the new NT8 version.

This customization:

adds selectable minimum number of bars for your CBox
adds selectable maximum tick differential between the Open and Close of your CBox bars
adds a diamond shape at double tops and double bottoms of your bars
adds a diamond shape at your choice of ticks above/below CBox to show a break up or break down to a specific level
adds selectable sound alerts (adaptation from BobC again) for

:
initial formation of your CBox
double tops and double bottoms
warning of a breakout 1 tick above or below CBox boundaries

double top and double bottom markers are done with purple and pink diamonds respectively
your break up and break down confirmation markers are done with green and blue

diamonds respectively.

Congestion boxes settings will vary from instrument to instrument. You will probably have experiment with the settings until you find what you want for your instrument. There will be some discussion at the thread above regarding how I use CBoxes in my trading.

Congestion Box For Range Bars

//UPDATED INDICATOR: You can now change opacity and color of the three types of boxes.

Just a simple code to show colored boxes when there seems to be tight congestion. The logic was designed for range bar charts but it can work on minute charts. The drawing of the box is delayed by two bars.
The green and red boxes might represent possible supply and demand zones based on simple logic of how prize moved away from the boxes. The coloring is also delayed.
I welcome improvements, changes, ideas, or maybe it's useless. You be the judge.

There are two types of congestion counts to consider, the group method seemingly more useful. This was originally downloaded from here, which is sometimes a very slow link.

Fixed problem with dataseries which prevented the indicator from being saved with the workspace.

Converted from the NT7 version. Originally design for range bars to box in those congestion areas produced by up and down bars that resulted from the market not going anywhere (it's not perfect).
But some folks had success using the indicator on minute charts.
The box is delayed and the red and green colors are even more delay but this was not meant to be a real time indicator.
Added public series to hold values for upper levels, lower levels, and bar numbers, to be accessed from
strategies.
Note: Right now the indicator do not show draw objects when added to a strategy using AddChartIndicator therefore ist's not going to draw rectangles on charts. Ninjatrader trader is aware of the bug and said it is already fixed and we will see it in the next release. Using Beta Version 8.0.0.8 (Multi-Broker).

Hello Traders. This indicator looks for a congestion of candles and then a break out. Once the breakout is confirmed, it paints the box up or down and indicates the POC of that congestion box. The indicator is working in real time, but does not paint the box until the breakout is confirmed (2bars). You can change the Box Color if you want to see all of the boxes forming. I find that distracting.

I downloaded the CongestionBox4RNT8 a few months ago and I like the indicator, but there were a few annoying problems. This version fixes the problems that I found in my use.

Fixes:
1. The colors did not stick from startup to startup in the original version...
2. The original consumed a lot of resources, so I set a timer so that it only calculated the boxes during times that matter to the user. This cuts down on the calculations and memory use. You can set the start/stop time to what you want.

R1: Trader Contrax was having problems with autoscaling in his setup. He found what needed to be changed (Thx). Most people will not notice a difference so I edited the indie, left the name the same and just updated the file.

Several traders are having 'freezing' problems. This indie is a resource hog. You want to run as little history as possible with Congestion Box. One trick that I use is to have a transparent chart on the same panel as my main chart. Let's say you have a 5min chart. Add a second 5min chart to the same panel, transparent candles, wicks, etc, with 1 day history. The Congestion Box uses the 1 day chart as its input. You can have several instances of charts on the same panel.. A great NT attribute.

R2: Member jabeztrading, the original developer of the indicator, fixed the issue with the button recurring. This fix also fixed the resource problem. Excellent work!!!

Coral Trendfilter

Exported using NT Version 7.0.1000.16

This is an indicator adapted from a C# implementation for cTrader. It is a simple linear IIR filter. The indicator is widely available for MetaTrader 4 in Forex fora, but I have not checked the C# version against the original mq4 files.

When price is above the Coral filter, only consider a long position. When price is below the indicator, only consider a short position.

The indicator comes with a trend indication based on the slope of the linear filter. The neutral range can be adjusted via the threshold parameter. The trend can be displayed via paintbars. The trend state is exposed via an IntSeries() and be directly called from a strategy.

Cumulative Delta for TradeStation v1.0

Works on at least TradeStation 9.0 and later

Description:
Plots the cumulative delta (orders lifting offers - orders hitting bids) in a sub graph below the main chart for most chart types in TradeStation.

Usage:
The indicator plots the difference between Upticks and Downticks for each bar in a Hi-Lo bartype fashion. The close of the previous bar is the open of the new bar. It does not draw the wicks, just the open and close. The code maintains the running Upticks-Downticks tally in a bar and plots the difference realtime for the last bar on chart if update intrabar option is checked. It allows the trader to specify pit open/close times and the option to reset (start from 0) the cumulative delta at either the pit open time or the pit close time or both. A zero line can be plotted if required. Also allows the user to specify an Alert limit such that when the delta goes over this limit, that CD bar can be colored with the Alert Color. The Up Color and Down Color can also be specified.

Works on the following chart types:

Time
Tick (using Trade Vol instead of Tick Count for chart volume)
Volume (using Trade Vol instead of Tick Count for chart volume)
Momentum
Range

Input Parameters:

PitOpen - Time in HH24MM format (eg: 0800 for 8 AM and 1600 for 4 PM)
PitClose - Time in HH24MM format (eg: 0800 for 8 AM and 1600 for 4 PM)
ResetAtPitOpen - True/False values only
ResetAtPitClose - True/False values only
PlotZeroLine - True/False values only
AlertBar - Numerical, positive value only. The code uses an absolute value before comparing.
AlertColor - Any TradeStation color like Magenta, Cyan, Yellow, White etc.
UpColor - Any TradeStation color like Magenta, Cyan, Yellow, White etc.
DownColor - Any TradeStation color like Magenta, Cyan, Yellow, White etc.
