Linear Regression Channel consists of two parallel lines, equidistant up and down from the line of linear regression trend. The distance between frame of the channel and regression line equals to the value of maximum close price deviation from the regression line.
This indicator can plot a liner regression, a parabolic regression (second-power), and a polynomial regression (third-power).
Price action is the foundation of all technical indicators, yet most traders do little to understand it. Within trades, price action creates the most important element of context, defining inflection points that affect market entry and exit. The sophisticated investor understands price action and uses it to frame every trading decision.
John Ehlers' Predictive Moving Average (PMA) from his book, 'Rocket Science for Traders' (p. 213). He provides a comprehensive description of it there.

gbPriceActionSwing Ver 1.1, TraderGB, March 23, 2021
This is a modified version of PriceActionSwing indicator that includes the Keltner Minor Trend Rule.
The minor trend turns:
(1) UP when price moves above its most recent high and stays UP until price moves below its most recent low, when it is considered to have turned DOWN.
(2) DOWN when price moves below its most recent low and stays DOWN until price moves above its most recent high, when it is considered to have turned UP.
Keltner defines an upward trend by the failure to make lower lows and a downward trend by the failure to make higher highs.
General Usage:
1) When the trend is up (background=green), you'll want to trade long on the up swings of the up trend (the Trend is Up and the Swing of the up trend is Up).
2) When the trend is down (background=red), you'll want to trade short on the down swings of the down trend (the Trend is Down and the Swing of the down trend is Down)
Suggestion Application - have three charts:
(1) Long-Term Chart: Used to get an idea of the long term trend.
(2) Intermediate-Term Chart: Used to detect the swing points turning in the same direction as the trend.
(3) Short-Term Chart: Used for entry/exit and trade management in the same direction of the trend and swing.
The screenshot shows a 30-tick range bar chart with the indicator parameters: SwingType=Standard and SwingSize=20.
The large green arrow shows the trend direction being up. The smaller green arrows show the "up swings" within the "up trend".
There are seven up swings in the ES of roughly 59, 82, 85, 102, 47, 58 and 53 points.
Looking within the up swings, there are many opportunities to get long using a lower timeframe chart.

The line chart on the top of page 61 clearly illustrates this rule.
Updates: Ver 1.1, 3/23/2021
1) Added independed AddOn gbPriceActionSwingBaseMethods. Some users were having issues with an existing version of PriceActionSwingBaseMethods that was different from the version that this indicator is based on.

Price Action Trainer ( beta)
author Tams
word from author
This indicator helps the new traders to tune-in to the price bar formations
as the market unfolds.
It reads the Price Action at the micro level,
then prints the formation names on the screen.
Formations:
ib = Inside Bar
FTP = Flat Top Pennant
fbp = flat bottom pennant
ccc = congestion, convergence, centering
This indicator is in beta;
comments and suggestions are welcome.
You are invited to post your renditions as well.
The code should run in MultiCharts and TradeStation,
but I am not sure about OEC.
I have uploaded a PLA file for MultiCharts.
TradeStation users: if you don't know how to import the code into your software,
please spend 5 mins on your users manual to find out how.

September 18th, 2010 08:23 PM marin I downloaded into Ninja 7 beta21 and the indicator plotted somewhat OK initially in the standard default settings mode..
.
The HATEMA and TEMA lines do not seem to plot. Fill OB/OS works OK.
Not sure if the 2nd and 3rd power regressions plotted correctly...setting the degree to 2, 3 & 4 produced similar lookin
g results.
May 27th, 2010 12:56 PM theLonelyTrader Used with volume analysis and price action, my favorite market indicator by far, especially on leading instruments like
6E, CL and DAX.
November 1st, 2009 02:19 PM cclsys Excellent. I suspect this will end up being one of the only 2-3 indicators I intend to have up on a chart during trading
. Is dynamic, visually simple, and technically sophisticated. Thanks.
March 17th, 2013 03:21 PM dnkhoward2 Thank you very much for this. I have been in search of something like this for a while. Works well with 4 & 6 range bars
.
