Big Mike's Volume Graph, Optimized

Mike's version, posted in June of 2009, was downloaded almost 700 times!

It colors the volume bars based on a sophisticated linear regression analysis without using bid ask volume data. It corresponds well with Delta Momentum generated from GomRecorder buy/sell volume.

I applied Richard's optimization method from his article, aboot the right way to call external indicators, at MoveTheMarkets.com. (eh?)

This greatly improves the performance, so much so that in NT7 it can run with CalculateOnBarClose = false. However, DO NOT run it this way. CoBC must be true for it to calculate correctly... for now.

Here is an interesting indicator for placing notes on a chart. Credit goes to Snaphook on Ninja Forum. It can be dropped on the main panel or a panel of its own. You can write up to 10 comments in various color and font sizes.

I find it very useful to list my rules as a reminder on my trading chart.

The attached example screenshot shows Roger Felton's entry and money management rules discussed in his last BMT webinar. Here I have used a Panel Left Edge offset of 530.

I am posting in BMT Elite Section to show Roger's trading rules, otherwise the indicator is public on Ninja Forum downloads.

Commitment of Traders (COT)

There is no real download here (the attached file, "cot.txt", is just a dummy file in order to satisfy the requirements of adding an entry).

Just want to highlight the stock Commitment of Traders (COT) indicator that comes with NT8 and how to set it up. emazing was requesting this and didn't know that it was already available. I'm putting it here to alert everyone of this indicator and how to set it up.

Setup:
1) Go to: Tools -> Options -> Market data
2) Once there, click on: Download COT data at startup
3) After doing this, restart NT.
4) Add the COT indicator to a weekly chart (Released every Friday at 3:30pm by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission)

Included here is a weekly chart with the COT indicator.
