David Weis is a trader and analyst with 40 years of experience in the markets. He started at ContiCommodities and later served as Director of Technical Research writing its weekly technical market letter. Weis later edited the Elliott Wave Commodity Letter which was published by Robert Prechter.
Along the way he enrolled in the Wyckoff Course offered by the Stock Market Institute and is now one of its leading practitioners. He currently writes a nightly S&P Report based on the interpretation of price/volume behavior and also mentors traders around the world on his approach to using the Wyckoff method.
He is co-author of Charting the Stock Market, The Wyckoff Method and the author of a workbook entitled Trading with the Elliott Wave Principle, A Practical Guide.

About to Happen,” which explains how he has adapted Richard Wyckoff’s techniques to fit today’s volatile markets and is expected to be released shortly.
He is the creator of the "Weis Wave" that measures the cumulative volume of market swings and helps to anticipate changes in trend.
