I am trying to learn more about social investing websites such as covestor. My primary interest in such a site would be to start developing a track record so that I have something objective to point to other than my own trading results, which no one would have any reason to believe.
If anyone has posted a system on covestor or a similar site that tracks system performance, I'd appreciate it if you could post a bit about the experience and how strongly you'd recommend it.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I have a swing trading system I've been playing around with. I'd ideally like to find a site that would track its performance automatically, without having to link a live trading account (as required in covestor as I understand it). Also don't want to have to pay a lot for the privilege.
I figure if the system works well over time, it would be nice to have developed a track record through one of these sites rather than simply recording trades on my spreadsheet at home. I have no illusions that I'll be trading anyone else's money so that's not an important goal at this point.
Some sites will audit your statements for you. However, sim doesn't count ever.
Just please don't be a loser who wants others to take their risk and isn't man enough to actually take the trades with their own cash. The world has enough cowards.
Sounds like the entire universe of trading "educational services" and their live chatrooms.
Personally, I have no issue with Sim results from third party signal providers. At least they are verified and there's no way for a developer to talk or dance his way out of poor published performance. What you see is going to be close to what you get whether Sim or cash.
