Welcome to futures.io.

Welcome, Guest!

This forum was established to help traders (especially futures traders) by openly sharing indicators, strategies, methods, trading journals and discussing the psychology of trading.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading forums:
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive on our forums.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendor advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in openness and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, it is not something tangible you can download.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community. It's free and simple, and we will never resell your private information.

Size Trade reviews (www.sizetrade.com) signal generator - from Gary

Someone brought this to my attention and I wanted to share, because it sure as hell seems fishy to me -- in my opinion, sites like this just prey on the novices of the industry.

Questions/Comments:

1) Who the hell is "Gary" ? I used the image on their page and did a reverse image search with google. No matches.

2) How is this legal and compliant with CFTC?

3) Are you freaking kidding me? Again, how is this legal and CFTC compliant?

I don't have time to keep investigating right this moment. Hopefully you guys can dig around and come up with some more, but at first glance it seems like this is not legit in my opinion.

Mike

Due to time constraints, please do not PM me if your question can be resolved or answered on the forum.

Need help?
1) Stop changing things. No new indicators, charts, or methods. Be consistent with what is in front of you first.
2) Start a journal and post to it daily with the trades you made to show your strengths and weaknesses.
3) Set goals for yourself to reach daily. Make them about how you trade, not how much money you make.
4) Accept responsibility for your actions. Stop looking elsewhere to explain away poor performance.
5) Where to start as a trader? Watch this webinar and read this thread for hundreds of questions and answers.
6)

Thanks Mike

After a cursory check two things stand out:
  • Expensive indicators (price is actually per month) although it is apparent from the disclaimer that no live trade ever took place (see screenshot below)
  • Why would an indicator be ever "sold out"? Do they manufacture them by hand?

I always reiterate my bottom-line point about indicators for sale: they must be at least as good as the price paid. But if they were, why sell them in the first place?

Good job Mike, sounds like you landed on an easy to spot scammer.

About Gary and why he won't give his last name or where he works.

Quoting
Due to his privacy, he does not like to give out his full name or where he works. Gary has been traveling the world for the last 5 years and currently resides in the south of Spain.

From the FAQ - How do I know SizeTrade is legitimate?

Quoting
“Unfortunately, the trading sector is filled with quacks and charlatans. There is really nothing we can say or write on our website that would convince you 100% that our services are completely legitimate. We know that the content that we provide our users is extremely valuable and not just filler BS content that many sites offer

Their twitter page has 1 follower, yes, 1 follower.
https://twitter.com/SizeTraders

They only list profits and never show any pictures as proof.

Doing just a bit of digging leaves more questions than answers. Plus a bunch of red flags

Great find.

Does anyone know if having this disclosure at the bottom makes them compliant with whatever body regulates them?

Also, how does one submit a formal inquiry so that such regulatory body looks into this themselves?

Sizetrade never post the name with an inc. or LLC, therefore it may not be a registered corporation or limited liability/partnership.

Everywhere the name shows up there is the name of the marketing co: BTRX. This one is registered in Wyoming.

They have COPYRIGHT 2016 at the end of the web page but non of the names: sizetrade or BTRX found to be registered with the US copy rights office.

The firm phone number at the contact us section not found as registered with any major carrier with a correspondent address and is a VOIP line.

File a Tip or Complaint - CFTC

I'm in the process of filling a claim. It's my first time doing one of these so I'm not familiar with some of the terminology / requirements.

In regards to address, anybody have any luck finding something to put in this slot? I haven't gotten anything for either SizeTrade, SizeTrade.Com, SizeTrade Profits, or BTRX Marketing LLC.

One question to FIO and those who have filed a claim before.

My philosophy is "If there's enough doubt, file a claim and the experts will due their due diligence."
Is this fair?
