I signed up for Yellow Brick Trading for $399 lifetime membership.
It's a signal service with a group in Groupme.
Was recommended by a friend. The dude that runs it goes by the name of "Rich King" on facebook. But he says his real name is "Pre" with no last name. I found out his real name is "Geraldi Griffin" by doing a reverse search of his email address used to collect my paypal payment.
His 3 strategies at the time I joined were:
Gap trades on Sunday
YBTG trades during London ( a set of EMA's)
Bank Trades provided by another admin based on bank trade info at plus.eFXnews
Apparently the gap trades had been 100% successful for a year. Until I joined! LoL..I had 4 good weeks then it tanked.
He had us risk 140% on the gap trade that he recommended. DUMB OF ME TO DO THAT!
He had us set up with Tallinex with 1:400 margin.
I lost $1300 one night. So many people lost their entire account that day. Then it happened again a few weeks later.
Then he went quiet for a few weeks. No trades. No signals.
Then he comes in with a new strategy, Genesis strategy. He says he found it long ago and it was created by an Asian guy that wanted 20k for it. He offers to sell it to us for 1k each!
I find the strategy online for free and post it in the group, along with his real name.
I got kicked out!
His bank trade guy left the next day, as he was really sickened by the other guys actions too.
However, I am happy to have learned where to see what the banks are doing that was worth it to me.
Some lessons I learned from this:
don't pay for gurus or signals
don't trust people using fake names
don't trust people with wordpress free sites! if you were rich would you use that?
flashy facebook profiles indicate BS
