That's exactly my thoughts.
This way I found an entry system to work with and incorporate some key aspects of the CTD program into my
trading setups, like Candle stick math calculation and the concept of space to trade into.

I took Iaccino's & Arnold's boot camp course a few years ago when he was running a website called Trader Instinct (gone now). The cost was $500 and lasted about 8 weeks. They taught a well defined system of trend lines, space, complex space, rotation zones, S/R, H & S patterns, candle stick math, trade management, etc. They were trading 4 hour forex charts. Every day they had a pre-market webinar where they went over potential trades for the day (this was a different, paid service in addition to the boot camp). After looking at a half dozen or so pairs, sometimes there wouldn't be any setups, sometimes one or two. Rarely more than that.

My interest was CL on a 5 min chart, and this methodology didn't work too well with that. You can go days without a setup. I did like them and their methods, but the style didn't suit me. Don't know if the stuff I got from them is the same as what's being taught now.

This sounds very similar to what I have learned in the course. The concept of Trade Trendlines, Space, Candlestick math, Rotation Zone, Double Tops and Bottoms, Head and Shoulders Pattern, etc.

I have the same problem with finding setups. I think the setups are very rare.

Ok, so here's my review of the CTD course from someone who has completed it recently. I think it boils down to where you are in your trading right now. If you are a complete novice and are just starting on your trading path then I think this is a good starter course for you. What is key in my opinion is that you don't stop learning after completing the course. i.e. if some aspects of the strategies they cover resonates with you, study it further and perhaps seek out other traders with similar methods who have real money on the line and who are willing to teach you their methodology. This is very tough though because most of the real traders who make their money from trading do not see it as profitable to be out there selling their stuff and running trader education companies. They make boatloads more from their trading and just don't have the time to deal with the B.S. of running such companies.

However, I digress.

Ont he other hand, if you are a trader with a few years experience under your belt then unless you gravitate towards trendline trades then this course is not for you. Although they cover a whole bunch of different methods, their bread and butter is trendline trades. I for one have never found success in trendline trading and this course was no different in showing me otherwise.

Bob and Mike who run the course are very transparent and genuine and I truly appreciated that about them. I also loved Bob's candor when it came to expressing himself. However, a question I would have loved to ask each of them was whether they make their living purely from their trading or not. I mean, Bob has a lot of T.V. engagements which must bring in a nice sum of money and I'm sure they each have other business interests along the side. So, one cannot know for certain if these guys are really making consistent money that they can support their families with on their trading income. Somehow, I doubt it but I would love to be proven wrong.

To conclude, I would say, if you are new to trading then this is a good foundational course to learn some basics along with some more advanced stuff even though they hardly trade their more advanced topics themselves. However, don't think that you're going to make real money from their system and can quit your job in 6 months or a year for that matter. You will have to have a very large account to be able to get anywhere close to that in my opinion. If you're trading a small account then this course is definitely NOT for you. They trade off of 60 min and above charts with huge stops which can decimate a small account in no time. Learn their system, pick the areas that you like and which suit your personality and then make it your own by going out there and studying other people's methods. You will never ever find what will work best for you from a single educator in my humble opinion.

Hope that helps.

I also finished the course and I totally agree with what you said about Bob and Mike and the course.

is the stuff they are selling real designed to put you in the prop trading fast tract. or are they trying to just sell trader stuff like most other vendors. milking there leads for as much as they can. to me it seems unreal. so what if you pass and jump through all the hoops. they only put 1500.00 at real risk. and you have to pay for your own data. it would take 200 years to build the account to make 100,000 a year... or am i missing some thing
