Hi, Pete

I am a Jigsaw customer, DOM jockey

Is there a chance you could go over more drills?

It would be great to have ways to improve.

I heard of one, where multiple limit orders are put in the DOM and then manage them?

not sure though?

thanks

Hinneni

ps Love the Blog!

Thanks - I presume you have this one: Cut and [AUTOLINK]Reverse[/AUTOLINK] Drill (Crude - with video) - Jigsaw Trading

I'll do more when I'm back in the swing of the New Year

Hey , I have an issue with data streamig to Jigsaw on NinjaTrader.

As I mention my broker and data provider is IB, IB let you open only 3 Market depths at one time, it can be depressing but their data their rules.
I started using Jigsaw today and I have a problem with that, when I open NinjaTrader and Jigsaw , and get 2 stock instruments on 2 deferment charts , my steaming is ok everything work just fine, when I change one of the instruments for other ticker , (total 3 tickers viewed) , and than trying to change the other ticker, I get the message from IB saying I can only open 3 depths at one time, the problem is there is only 2 depth on any time. On TWS platform I have only windows for order entry and nothing else so I know the only depth that opened is the depth from Jigsaw on NT. I tried to check the log request from IB and I found out that even after I changed the ticker on NT it's still asking depth for the old ticker from IB and basically that what make it impossible to view more then 3 tickers total at one session with NT and Jigsaw for me. Only when I close NT and restarting it, the logs are clear and I can view another 3 tickers again. So, if I already watched 3 stocks and I want to watch another one, I need to reset the program each time. Of course I tried to talk with NT and send them the logs, they said they will check it and response shortly , but 7 hours later I decided to check maybe someone know something about it here, I know Peter @DionysusToast using IB and maybe you familiar with that problem and know how to solve it.

I attached photos of the opened windows at NT and the log requests from IB.

Beside that, after my first day with Jigsaw, can't be happier! (:

Hope you could help with that matter! Thank you all and have a great day!!

Unfortunately Ninja does not tell IB that it's no longer subscribed to the Market Depth feed when you switch.

I reported in in NT7 - have you tested it in NT8?

Let me know

Pete

It's really tough to give out details of upcoming features because the competition may implement them before we do.

In terms of alerts, there's some 'normalization' work to be done to make them globally accessible and add new alert types.

What we have done recently is written a new framework for the products that let's us add certain things more quickly - I just can't say what those things are because they are pretty much 'outside the box' compared with what we do now.

Best Wishes Pete @DionysusToast for the New Year. Was wondering if there has been any request to do a scrolling historic of R Tape. or in the works. Or any possibility to dump R Tape to a Drive location.

cheers & best

Apologies if this is a dumb question, but I haven't seen a way to do this; have I missed something, or is it not possible currently?

Thanks
Phil

Hi Peter,
I watched a couple of your shorter videos and noticed my immense lack of knowledge in this area (grin). Before I consider diving in deep to devote time to learning what you have to offer, a question, and thanks for considering it.

I live on the Australian east coast and can only get to trade between 7.00 am - 11.00 am GMT, after I come home from a waged job. Given that, which futures or indicies would you recommend for trading with Jig Saw? I am not asking for a trade recommendation, but simply to figure out if this approach is relevant to my work/trading life style.

thanks
Sienna

Hey Sienna,

Not butting in on your question to Pete, but I spent a year trading the same time you are looking at (~ 6pm AEST).

I traded the 6E & FESX, both have good opportunities as you would be trading their open. I also use Jigsaw and there is great liquidity on the books at that time in those instruments.

I tried ES at that time too, but really it is just trading off the Euro/UK session so you would be better trading a product in that zone.

Hope that might help your search.

Not possible on the current version.
Pete has said that the current Alpha test for Rapid Trader Pro (the stand alone platform independent version of Jigsaw), is getting a complete re-write of Vista before it gets added. Maybe you will be able to change font size then. Or maybe not.
You could always try writing to their support if you think it is a feature that other users would appreciate too.

Hi Peter,
in this example we can see strong buyings and the market goes up very fast. A few minutes later, the market goes down in the same speed, but without sellers shown in the map - moreover we have two buying circles on the way down at 11.815 nd 11.808 Should´t there be some strong selling activities visible on the way down or how does it work?
