Hi all, new to using ninjatrader and was looking to download some of the sample sum trends & strategies from microtrends which are a free bolt on for aim trading. When downloading my virus scanner picks up a Trojan virus and stops the install. Anyone know why they would set it up this way? Emailed their help desk and they said that I need to disable the scanner to do th install but not sure I am comfortable purposely loading q virus onto ky machine. Thanks

Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Are the files downloaded C#/NinjaScript source (i.e. have the file suffix .cs) or something else ? I don't see how downloading NinjaScript source files would require disabling the virus scanner.
Thanks guys looks like that is what they are trying to do. Contacted the vendor and her's the response I got. Think I'll wait to the next version of download.
MicroTrends Tom, Oct-05 09:18 (BST):
Your scanner is blocking the download of the executable so therefore you will not be able to download the executable with your scanner running.
The second option you have is to wait for a new release:
We have acquired code signing certificates for the next verison of downloads, it could be your scanner will then allow download with that feature.
Yahoo mail is very bad at determining if DLL's in a zip file are harboring a virus and will strip the attachment from the email. I usually have the receiving party use something else like Gmail.
Absolutely, all obfuscated C# code using CliSecure are seen like bad code by Yahoo scanner.
I've talk a bit with Tom Leeson, it's a good guy, and I'm sure his code is safe.
Just found this, it's free to use for sim , demo and testing
