hi, I'm new here, great place to learn..

So I'm working with an old man who own a lot of bonds and constantly wants to know the sell price of them..
i have several brokerage accounts and i get the prices from there.. in (Charles Schwab) i go to the bond section(screener) and look for them… now, the problem is that the price that i get everywhere is without the accrued interest.. i know how to calculate them but I'm not sure if after i add the interest to the market price i get the sell price or the buy price….

market price + accrued interest = Sell or Buy price (are they the same??)

i would also like to ask for a webpage or service (cheap) where i could get these prices.. does the size of the transaction really matter a lot in the price i get??

quite probably when you sell you will get the accrued interest since the last coupon payment, and probably settlement date will be some days after the sell is done -they may accrue you until the settle most cases-, in some less frequent situation you will be the one paying accrued if you sell in the ex-dividend period (days that you will receive for a delay in registry update)

for the settlement particularities of the bonds you have, call your broker, and share what you find out.
