Tradovate's Ask Me Anything (AMA) w/Rick Tomsic (Founder) and Brian Weis (President)
Our policy for 10+ years has been that the Elite Offers must represent the best possible deal available, and offer money back guarantees in writing, and have a website that lists contact information readily.
Few exceptions have been made over the years.
We don't earn any type of commission or referral/affiliate earnings, etc, on the Elite Offers. We just do our best to negotiate the best possible deals for our Elite Members, to say thanks for them being an Elite Member. You should always do your own research.
In this case, Tradovate informed me that they are unable to offer anything beyond their normal 2-week trial to the Elite Members. I do hope that in the future, they will be able to offer something special like many other vendors do.
I do believe their product deserves attention within our community, so I published the announcement that the Elite Offer was now listed. It will also be sent out in a newsletter in a couple of days. We do what we can to help everyone, and in this case, we are just raising awareness of what's available -- even though we were not able to negotiate a better deal from Tradovate.

Can you tell us a little about the Tradovate websocket API?
Is this purely for administration purposes for partners who wish to automate the setup of tradovate child accounts, or can this also offer execution for users of the API?
Having well documented APIs for execution of automated strategies is highly desirable for me.
Currently, our API offering is solely for 3rd party partners. Partners use a combination of the REST and Websocket APIs. For both account and user management as well as real-time data, order execution and position updates.
However, because of the tremendous demand, we have an effort underway currently to extend access out to retail customers. We are currently rounding out our documentation and samples and putting a mechanism in place to make it easy to request and manage API keys and API key permissions.
We're a few weeks out before making this generally available, but we'll keep everyone updated as we progress.
