I am completely new to range bars and is a couple of days that I am using them with my normal time bars and I like them very much.
I know that it's subjective but please try to be objective
What are the 3 best range bars period for intraday trading for these contracts ( on the workspace I will have also 60minutes, 30minutes, 15minutes, 5minutes and 2minutes.)
1. 6E
2. CL
3. ES

Thanks Roberto

I only use 5 tick range bars. Everything I trade has 10 ticks so it seems to work out for me.

TF and 6E work well with 5 tick range bars.

CL lately has been very volatile, if 5 is too fast try 10 tick range bars.

I don't trade ES so can't say.

The main thing is to find what fits your style of trading.

Regards,
TMFT

I'm just a simple man trading a simple plan.

I also use 2 charts for each index, a 3 minute and a range. For ES I use a 4 range, for NQ I use a 7 range and for TF I use a 10 range. I mostly trade ES, then NQ.

Not the instrument in question, but I use range bars on the spot Eur/Usd and Gbp/Usd. I typically use 2 or 4 tic range bars. This is pretty much an intraday sized chart for the things I do.
