Has anyone here traded through Vision Financial's API? I know there's a thread on Vision already, but I'm hoping to get some feedback on their API in particular. Was it fast enough? Were there any problems?

I'd especially like to hear your experience using their API to trade equities or options. Vision seems to be one of the few retail brokers that offers a single API to access to all 3: equities, futures, and options.

AFAIK there is no "Vision" branded API though they offer a web portal.

Are you talking about the Rithmic API? I'm pretty sure it is limited to BATS for equities. If you need access to the full NBBO and OPRA engines Vision also offers the RealTick API. It's $250/month unless you are pretty actively trading.

I'm doing some work with the Rithmic API now. I like it.

Matt at Optimus ( @mattz) should be able to provide more details. They are an IB for Vision and seem to go the extra mile to help.

Thanks for the info Mxasj. Yes I'm talking about their R api powered by Rithmic. I have heard good things about Rithmic for futures but don't know anyone using their R api for options or equities & whether it is ready for prime time or not.

Thank You! I really appreciate the kind words.
If you contact me at Optimus I will set you up with a person who can handle equities and options.
We only deal with futures and are looking to expand in the future with equities and options.

We do have customers who utilize the R-API and it works smoothly on futures.
I think that the same would apply to equities.

Also, if you need specifics as for the R-API capabilities, I can set you up with someone from Rithmic who can answer your questions.

Matt
