Hi, there are two News indicators created by John Thom, thank you, John ! The first one is jtEconews,
the news are displayed in the upper left corner of your chart by this indicator, but - the true one is the newly
- 1/17/2011 updated - ' jtEconNews AddIn ' ! This is the ' must ' indicator for any daytrader. It gives the first signal quarter an hour before the event occurs and leaves for the time until the news is published a flowing stripe in 10, 5 min and at last seconds before in different colours embedded in a line below your chart. This indicator is adjustable so, that you can select the features you w a n t to see and - in the updated version - it displays even an orange stripe to your chart so, that you know :
Sorry, it's time to be alert, the news can harm your trade, when you ignore it.
I have installed this indicator last Friday and, for me, it is really great.
Actually downloadable on John's Page and Ninja Forum - Downloads - Page 3

The only thing that I do not like about the indicator is that it comes as a DLL. I understand that the author does this for copyright protection. But using DLLs includes the risk running malicious code on your PC, so I am very careful with running DLLs of unknown origin.

I have been personally in contact with John, so I do not think that there is a real risk, just want to point it out here. By the way, I have also created on DLL to protect my author rights. As I am incapable of integrating malicious code, everbody who uses it, may feel safe.

But in the end, the DLL protects the author, but not the user. Seems you cannot have both.

This is a non-DLL file version of the jtEconNews indicator for NT 7.0, I have added a small bugfix today.

So it works again, contrary to the message below.
