If you want to setup the forum to ignore certain users, this is how to do it. You can ignore their chats and then separately ignore their posts.
If you have a user on Ignore, you will not see anything from them.
For chats, click the drop-down arrow next to the user you wish to ignore, and click the 'Ignore' button.
For forum posts, go to your Control Panel (top left of navbar, click 'User CP') and then Edit Ignore List under the Settings and Options sub-menu. Type in the name of the user you wish to ignore. Here is a direct link:
In addition, if you have placed a user on your Ignore List, this will also prevent them from replying to any threads in which you are the Thread Starter.
They will receive the following error if they attempt to reply:
"You are on the thread starters ignore list and therefore cannot reply to this thread."
In the chatbox you can list the users you are ignoring by typing "/ignore show". You can then unignore users from the pop-up. If you don't get the pop-up, check your browser to make sure you are allowing pop-ups from futures.io (formerly BMT).
There are some other useful commands on the chatbox as well if you want to just type "/" (forward slash) to view them.
In addition, I've now also made it easier to ignore users in regular posts (not chatbox). Just click their username on the left when reading the post, the drop down menu now has an Ignore option right there, so you don't need to go all the way to the User Control Panel.
