I`m experiencing that with 3 monitors opened with Ninja Trader 7 it becomes quite slow, and i would like to know from some geeks on the forum what is wise to upgrade or to buy a new pc.
i've added the specs in the attachment
Thanks alot!
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
If the computer is only using for NT, no backtesting, it's good enough.
But it can be slow for multiple reasons, hard disk, not enough memory, processor, ..., without knowing which element(s) is the problem, it's hard to give you an answer.
Yes, difficult to judge based on the info.
You suggest slowness with NT 7 - you notice this since an upgrade from 6.5?
Are you monitoring the same number of instruments, indicators etc as in the comparison period? This will help narrow the possibilities.
Open up Task Manager (Start - Run - taskmgr), and watch Performance tab when it is 'slow'. Is it 100% CPU? If so, upgrading to a faster CPU will help. If it is not CPU bound (ie, 25% CPU) then faster computer won't solve it, it could be something else.
