HI Everyone,
Fairly new to Ninja trader. Can anyone help out in the following.

1. I have the SPI-200 Futures chart ( Australian SFE Index Futures) which is code SPI 12-10 for the december 2010 contract. I want to display the 24 hour / night SPI-200 data as well. Current intraday data shows from 9.50 am to 16.30 pm, day session only. So far have been unable to get the night market data to appear in the charts. Can anyone help with codes or settings to get 24 hour data.?

2. My computer is set to Brisbane time GMT +10 hours. Now that Sydney is daylight saving an hour ahead of us, I would like to get NT to show sydney time, but do't want to change my computer clock away from Brisbane time. Is there a way within NT to change my charts to the 1 hour ahead to follow Sydney Time.?

Thanks for any help.
Don

Tools, Session Manager will allow you to build custom session templates to display whatever times you want for each day and the default time zone you want to be displayed. There is a Default 24/7 session already built, so just change the default time zone for that session. Then select Tools, Instrument Manager, find the instrument you want to change and click edit then change the default session template to the Default 24/7 session template. If you don't want to change the instrument's default session, you can also right click on the chart and select data series and scroll down to the data section and change the session template to the Default 24/7 template or the one you created. But you will have to do this every time you open a new chart. Hope that helps.

Hi Vegasfoster,

Thanks for your help. I now have the 24/7 data happening. It's good to have the night data working.

Just having a bit of trouble with the Time Zone still.

I did change the time zone to GMT +11 hours by going - tools - Session Manager, then changing the zone at the bottom to GMT +11. This did change something, as the midnight line on the night session is now at 11PM. So it has moved back an hour. The problem is that the time along the bottom of my charts still are showing current Brisbane time, so this part is unchanged. Eg todays day market should say 4.30 PM as the finish of trading (sydney day light saving time GMT+11), but it still shows the session finish at 3.30PM local time.

So I am wondering if there is another way to shift the time at the bottom of the charts forward by an hour. Ideally I would like NT to be able to keep this setting as the Default until aprox april 2011 when both zones go back to being the same.

Thanks for your help,
Don

You can't shift the time at the bottom of the chart as it represents your local time zone. You would need to change your regional settings and time to the country you want to see at the bottom of your charts. This is the job of your operating system to handle this not Ninja.

Hi Trendisyourfriend,

Thanks for the info on the time clock. I was hoping not to have to do it that way as I want to keep the computer to local time, so will probably just put up with the hour difference during summer. Thanks again for your help.

Regards,

Don
