Hi Traders and Investors,

I have checked Chat GPT 3.5 for coding indicators and strategies but it seems full of errors and it can't fix those errors in most of the times. I have checked it on pine scripts, ninja scripts and mql scripts.

is Chat GPT 4 any different than 3.5 in terms of less errors and higher quality coding or it's still the same?

what's the best approach with this bot? I noticed the following:

if I start new chat with
1- what is trading in financial markets then follow up
2- what are trading strategies then
3- what trend trading strategies then
4- make pine script code of moving average cross.

it will give better code

but if I start new chart with direct request step 4

1- can you make pine script strategy code of moving average cross.

it will give full of errors code

GPT-4 is better trained and has more general knowledge. It's not perfect and likely won't yield you an exact code base without you needing to mess with it.

That said, I use it for lots of little quick python stuff and it's great for getting you in the right direction/doing most of the work. If you have experience with writing code it's a lot easier to edit what it gives you to actually make it work.

I also find it very helpful for errors in my code. In fact, it's probably my primary use-case when coding. "My code provides $ERROR. Here's my code [code]." and gpt is good about letting me know why it's erroring and how to edit my code appropriately.

There are other tools you can explore. I intend to test github copilot with visual studio code for Ninjascripting in the coming weeks:
