This is my first post here glad I joined loads of amazing people and smart minds here.
I've been doing quite a bit of research and reading over the last few weeks over the work of John Ehlers.
More specifically, I've done a lot of reading on his book "Cybernetic analysis for stocks and futures".
My goal is to create an algo strategy on NT8 out of this book to trade futures intraday.
But here's my problem : where do I start and out of the dozens of (great) indicators he creates, how do I pick a starting point ?
I'm lost there are just too many of them. For example in chapter 12 "adapting to the trend" he mentions the first building block of a strategy based on cycle length. How do I measure the cycle length ? Should I use GC, modified Stoch RSI ? Sinewave ? How do I measure the dominant circle length and direction ?
So many questions I'm struggling to answer to have a base to start building the rules of the strategy.
And these are just some of the many questions worth asking.
So here I come to create a thread where we could share ideas, findings and ressources to use this guy's amazing brain.
Feel free to drop your 2 cents bellow wish you all a great day !
- bare in mind I'm not native which is maybe why the book can feel a bit confusing sometimes for me -
