I've switched from trading NQ to ES thinking it would be slower and less problems- NOPE! Still happening.
Trading during slow market times (no news blasts)
Reduced accounts to using only 1 Follower account now (down from 10-15, then 5, then 3...) thinking that would resolve the issues- NOPE! Stilll happening.
Tried both Limit and Market Orders, with ATM for Take Profits/Stop Losses
At least 6 times for me, and multiple other times for my friends this has happened causing MAJOR losses, blown PA accounts, etc. The leader will hit a stop, and leaves 1 or more of the followers in (or doesn't get the followers in to begin with put places their stop orders after the leader has exited, resulting in a 'hidden' trade in the opposite direction).
To me, it just seems that the combo of using NT, Rithmic & Replikanto is the problem. I've heard others who don't experience issues are using Tradeovate, AND/OR a completely separate platform for either ALL of their orders completely, or, the leader order on a separate platform, and the followers thru NT/Replikanto/Rithmic. It's IRONIC that this ONLY happens when it goes against you, and NEVER fails in your favor... About to give up on prop accounts/trade copiers completely as there seems to be no solutions. Ninja, Rithmic, FlowBots and Apex all point fingers at eachother and offer no solutions. Anyone who's NEVER had an issue, can you please give me insights as to what exactly you're doing, the platforms, the type of trades, etc? There's got to be a reason why it happens to many of us, and not ever the others...
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I currently use Replikanto with multiple Apex accounts/Rhythmic on the one NT8 platform, on the one PC. I have had the occasional similar issue of hanging orders and dropped stops.
In a few weeks I will receive a strategy coded for me, for MNQ and a few other futures, using Range bars, where the system moves stops to break even at a specific tick amount, and closes down completely for the day, at xyz $ amount.
Which of the 2 Tools that you offer would be best for the above scenario? NT8 Replikator or NT8 Network Replikator ?
@sienna : the potential small problem in this case is if the entries are not identical the break even price will be different on the destination account (if the entry orders are market orders), but not a big deal. It would be the local Replicator, the network version is only made to replicate orders between different machines (in the same local network or on different networks).
