Is there a way to backtest a strategy in NT8 without knowing how to code? Is replaying data and manually executing trades the only way if you can’t code? That is, if your strategy isn't in the strategies library.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
when i started out trading xabcd patterns i used bloodhound (automates / backtests strategy's with a graphical interface - no code needed) with xabcdtrading (creates patterns based off time and price) and used that to confirm my desires to go into pattern trading through a graphical interface. There will be a bit of a learning curve with their software and how it all works. it could do what is needed. i think its the same as before where you only pay for a bloodhound license if you want to place a live order.
BH comes with SiRaven which is a strategy builder.
You can create your strategy in BH then use Raven to test it. The strategy analyser will give quick static results and you can use Raven to play back previous days and then you'll see it working within that data.
Then if course you can trade live in Sim before going live.
Best thing is you get a month to test it out then buy if it suits you
