I currently am playing baseball(not softball) in a 42+ league and I'm really struggling at the plate.

For some stupid reason I cannot keep my feet planted. I keep almost running toward the pitcher as the pitch is heading towards home plate.

I've tried putting more weight on the back foot, standing still, different launch positions, etc all to no avail.

I'm extremely uncomfortable in the batter's box and at a loss for how to get out of this funk.

My teammates think that because I have really good speed at my age still(53), that somehow I'm slap bunting subconsciously. I'm not consciously wanting to slap bunt.

Idk, I'm all screwed up and it's pissing me off because, all I have to do is get on base and I know I can still steal second and third.

Hoping there are some ex-college(I never went to college)or even ex-minor league players that could offer some pointers on what I could do. Maybe something you did differently in the past when you were struggling.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
