Is there any way to use TS or MultiCharts offline on my laptop? I have them running already on a VPS, all I need is offline data on my laptop.
Thank you.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
yes. In TS, put your password in the system and click the "work offline" button. The platform will allow you to use the data and price action from your last login. So if that was a few days ago, you will be missing the last few days of price action. To fix this, login as usual, let it update and then sign back out and go back into work offline. You will then have the up to date info.
I had an issue the other day where all was fine when I logged out for the day, but when I logged back in, the First Date in the symbol code had been changed to the current date. Because the market had not opened yet, no price action was available. To double check this on your charts: Right click anywhere in the chart, choose DATA, and then Edit Symbol. Make sure all your First date, last date, or Bars Back are set up to allow price action to show on the chart. My only other thought is to be sure you don't have a period or small erroneous symbol sharing space with your ticker symbol. Make sure the asset you have on your chart trades in the time frame you have set to see ( some assets in futures only trade on the daily chart ). Hope this give you a few things to check or prompts you to discover what went sideways.
