Trying to figure if it's worth it for me to upgrade to lifetime license. I think it's worth it for me if market replay is a reliable tool for real time practice. Is playback smooth like actual real-time or is it laggy? For example, I find the market replay on thinkorswim useless.
Anyone have an opinion on this?

You don’t need a license to use Market replay. You can download replay files from this site.
Yes it is smooth but the reality is that it’s resolution is 1 second. All events will be there but round up/ down to the nearest second. Your charts, indicators, strategies, trades will respond the same as if live. You can run at fast speeds or as slow as was recorded. IMO it is an excellent tool for development.

The one thing I wish for with the market replay is that you could fast forward 1 bar at a time. I've been asking them for the for a few years now but I don't think there's much of an audience for that or else they would have already done it. Otherwise as it's already been mentioned you don't need to have a full license key to use a market rate I do consider a good tool to start the information for some of your results.
