IQFeed for NT7 and 8 at the same time, different computers?
I am using DTN IQFeed for my FUTURES & FOREX. I have NinjaTrader 8 on my laptop & NinjaTrader 7 on my desktop (They are both connected to my home ethernet network) . Unforturnately, I can only use my IQFeed login credentials on one computer at a time. Does anyone know a workaround for this problem? Any idea would be greatly appreciated.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Can I use IQFeed on more than one computer at the same time?
No. While you may install IQFeed on as many computers as you wish, you can only connect
with your IQFeed user ID on one computer at a time. If you attempt to connect on a second
computer, IQFeed will be disconnected from the first computer.
It's technically possible, and not super difficult, but not legal. Imagine a single paying DTN clients sharing his access to his 15 friends, it won't be very fair...
What's not fair is paying another $170 monthly for data on another computer on the same network. I'm not trying to share anything with friends or anyone else.
