Funded accounts strategy. I have funded accounts TickTick, Apex and Bulenox. I trade them at 1/4 of the size I used to pass them. Works so far but I am struggling to think up a frame work that will minimize my risk of losing one of them while at the same time earning enough to make it worth the effort. I see some using micros to trade which would keep the account going but can you really make a decent return that way? I could see having 12 funded accounts from different sources and splitting them up into say groups of 3 using a trade copier to minimize risk but again you are decreasing your returns. Anybody given this some thought or has formulated a strategy?

Personally, I would need more info about how and what you trade. Diversification between the accounts might be helpful in order to avoid concurrent drawdown (trading different instruments). If you do not mind, I would like to ask how was your experience with TickTick.

I only trade the ES; swing and scalp risking 3% of the draw down limit.

TickTick has excellent customer service however, I have been very frustrated by the refusal to place a maximum contract size limit on my funded accounts. I lost two accounts with NT while switching back and forth from charts and NT changing the position size on me. My fault I suppose but when scalping it is easy to do. TT says that they cannot place limits at a trader's request but Apex places limits and does not kill a funded account if the trader accidentally places too large of a position size. In both situations, the trades did not go thru since Rithmic wouldn't allow them but they still killed my funding. So the verdict is still out; do they really want funded traders or just want to generate funds with a false/dishonest business plan. I adamantly complained but they do not appear to care.

Reply is a little late for the original poster however, both TickTick and Bulenox absolutely do not allow trade copying on their Master type paying accounts. I believe they do on the evaluations. If you need to know this facet for sure, give them a chat. Best of trading - Harvey
