It sounds like an honest question, and simple enough. I've looked at thousands upon thousands of charts (literally, no joke) looking for patterns. When I think I found one, scrape the data off barchart.com, paste into a spreadsheet, and take the laborious task of calculating if what I believe I saw on the chart, tracking buy and sell points, and calculating P&L and determine if it is more then just random movement. If it holds up, and more often then not, it doesn't, scrape more contract data and do it again. If it holds up again scrape data for different markets, and repeat to see if they also hold water, so you can diversify a portfolio with more markets. When all that is done, paper trade and track the system for 3 to 6 months, and if it seems both profitable and tradeable, unleash the beast and allocate funds!
This may sound ignorant, but I feel there isn't much new under the sun, books that reveal actual profitable systems have more then likely been traded (arbitraged) away, but on occasion, those systems can be modified to breath new life into them, (maybe adding a filter of some kind, to distinguish it from the original) but you then have to put them through the same tedious task above!
Although the two links you provided were pointing to copyright-free books, one URL in your post also gave users the ability to download other copyrighted material for free which is illegal.
Oh, I am sorry for this as I really did not check what ever is needed into the last details to post any link here. But I can assure you that I absolutely accept your decision made.
Regardless to the deletion of my previous posting, I still stand with this:
If you really have no idea about it and are a real beginner in the trade, then I suggest that the first thing you should do is read up on the subject if you cannot afford an external mentor.
