Hi can anyone explain the difference in the POC when the order flow parameter is set to price vs set to volume? Because they show different points. I understand the volume shows the highest volume but what does the POC mean when the parameter is set to price? This is a 30m MES chart with the same volume profile. On the left it's set to price and on the right it's set to volume. I'm trying to understand what the POC means when set to price instead of volume

Thanks in advance

On price, I understand it is the volume weighted average price (VWAP) using the formula
Price = total (volume * price ) / total (volume)

Kindly double check.

Hope that helps

Hello Aquila,

I believe when set to price the POC will show at what price the highest number of TPOs there are, which means where price has spent the most time

I believe when set to Volume it is actually showing the VPOC (Volume Point Of Control)

Take Care

Thank you guys. I have since discovered it is the price where the most volume occurred in a half hour period and the time of that half-hour period is shown either by a letter or by colour. In this case it was pretty handy to know that high buy volume occurred in the half hour before the open
