Anyone trade calendar spreads in the softs?

If so, which broker and platform do you use?

Think or Swim(my current broker) doesn't allow spreads in the softs, nor does Tradestation(which I tried briefly).

I've also had some bad experiences speaking with brokers from ADM Investors, Tastyworks, RJO Futures(Ignorant attitudes) and you can't even speak to a human being at Interactive Brokers. I refuse to do business and give my money to a broker who talks down to me.

I'm stuck and could use a little help finding a good fit.

Although Think or Swim has limitations on what futures products you can trade, the platform itself is wonderfully user friendly. As I am technically challenged, this is a big issue for me in trying to find a user friendly platform and versatile broker that I will be able to trade these calendar spreads in the Softs market.

Thanks for any info anyone can provide. Trade well.

You can do exchange traded spreads with Tradestation, but only with their Futures+ platform (different than normal Tradestation platform).

I would recommend @decarleytrading - I have traded exchange spreads through them before (with Gain 360 platform).

I tried exactly that with their Futures + using what seemed to be a watered down version of TT. Could not trade calendar spread trades in the softs market even with an ICE US data fee. Not to mention of the dumbest things I've seen with brokers. I had to switch money back and forth between a normal outright futures account and a futures spread account. To me that was goofy.

Thanks for the other suggestion I'll look into it. Thank you.

That's weird - I used to trade ICE spreads, it was still called Futures +, but a different backend - they changed futures+ backends quite a few times. I gave up when went to TT driven platform, and wanted professional data fees for all markets. I agree, I never understood why it had to be a separate account either.

FWIW, for at least 10 years TS has told me that there were "soon" going to allow exchange traded spreads on their normal 10.0 platform. Yeah, right...

Carley at @decarleytrading will help you, she is the best.

That is so funny. They have told me that also, but of late they have been honest, and told me they will not ever do it with no explanation as to why. It's a shame because I absolutely love the simplicity and user friendliness of the TOS platform.
