Ussually I am not some sort of news or econometrics kind of trader, but what do you think could be consequences for markets and what opportunities may get created by such an crisis with russia Standing with 100k Manpower infront of Ukraine?
I thought about the Europes dependence of Russian Natural Gas (esspecially germany).
If the crisis keeps escalating my thought would be to long American natural Gas, because Europe would not like to be dependent on natural gas of russia like that. So American Imports may be the solution from partial Independence of russias natural gas.
as said this is just a thought which came up while taking a shit.
It would be nice to hear other opinions and theories of opportunities created by an event like this.

Check the natural gas import volumes from Russian pipelines to Germany. That's too big for being replaced by overseas import.
The solution for Germany would have been nuclear plants, but it doesn't seems to be politically correct now.
So whatever happens next, Germany and some other European countries needs Russian nat gas (and Russia needs money).
