How to automatically make gann charts for squaring price and time?
For squaring in time, I'd use a bar count (which decides the width on the time axis), and make sure it "grows" in mutliples of (x to the power of 2 then 3 then 4), etc.
A good example is using 2 as your base, then drawing the square in time to include 4 bars (2^2), then grow it to 8 bars (2^3), then 16 (2^4), and so on. At any point you draw a diagonal from the bottom-right to the top-left it will be a 45-degree angle (even if it doesn't look like it when you shrink/expand your price and time axes.
Thanks Samir, that technique helps a lot and is much appreciated An ongoing question is can you say what you use or recommend to actually make the charts? Is it a software progam which can be purchased? Thank You, David
