(This is a message for Mindset: I had to put this in a post, so I could attach a picture to show you what I am talking about. I have also sent you a message separately.)

Hey there... I love your background indicator, it is great... the only issue with it on my computer (Beta 22 installation) is that there is a "banding" effect where it repeats the color scheme multiple times. This doesn't seem to happen on something like a 5 minute chart, but as I go to larger time frames (15 min, 60 min, 240 min, daily, etc.) it seems to get worse. Do you have any idea of what could be causing this? I have attached a picture with a bunch of daily charts set up with this gradient indicator, so you can see what I am talking about. Any input would be appreciated!

Any reason why this can't be moved to the thread that already exists on this subject?

Sorry, didn't see the other thread. But my question still stands... does anyone have an answer to it? Feel free to move the post if you want, I'd just like to know why it's not working for me as well as for everyone else!

(I actually downloaded the indicator from the Downloads section of the site, it appears to be different than the one found in the thread you quoted...?)

Actually, never mind... I downloaded the indicator from that thread you linked to, and for some reason it appears to work better than the one posted in the downloads section. Made a couple of mods and got it working the way I want... thanks Big Mike!

(By the way, kudos to Mindset... incredible indicator!)

In the immortal words of NT support .... I can't reproduce this.
I tried a number of charts on the same monitor and they all looked fine.
I can only suggest that your graphics card needs upgrading maybe?

I have a quad screen system with 2 graphics cards if that helps.

Yeah, it's weird... I have 2 computers, one running Windows 7 and a laptop running Win XP. On the Win7 installation it works OK, on the laptop it doesn't. Also, when I run virtual machines on the Win7 machine (running WinXP), the problem also occurs. Maybe it has to do with WinXP somehow? Anyways, no big deal, I am working with it... thanks!

Thanks for highlighting it - I am sure there must be others who will come up against the same issue.
Does it occur if you have only say 2-3 charts per screen?

Yes, it's not related to the number of charts. I have managed to work around it somewhat by reducing the tint of the colors so it doesn't show up as much. Perhaps someone else will solve it in the future...
