I had a more detailed trading journal I started about a week ago on another site but the site kept giving me problems so I am starting over here.
Minervini style swing trader, only risking a dollar per trade right now til I get some good statistics then I will ramp up the risk to about 1%
Bought vrtv 8/9 entry 68.8 stop 59.94 (should have used 65.36)
Bought iii 8/9 entry 6.2 stop 5.68 (should have used 5.89)
Sold HALF of my VRTV on 8/10 at 83.62 - about 21%
Moved Stop up on VRTV to 68.85 on 8/10
Moved Stop up on iii to 6.25 on 8/10
The past couple days there have been some good entries I could have taken but other things in my life kept me from the market, I'm working on this.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I know it has been a bit since I posted but I have still been making some trades and getting some data. Right now I am just aiming for more 2 to 1 trades and higher account turnover, may up to 3 to 1 eventually but need more data first. Right now aiming for 10% target with 5% risk, manually trailing stop 5%, trying to figure out why my trailing stops aren't actually trailing. Playing stocks that are up at least 100% from their 52 week low, with a trailing 5 day volatility of 30% or more from high to low, making various plays based off price action and the 1 and 5 day averages using the 5 and 30 minute charts. Right now I am up 8.49 r for the month. Ratio of average win to loss 2.689655172 and win rate 75%

I upped the risk to $2 but had some issues with my calculator so never quite risked that much - I'll do 5 this week and fewer trades, or at least not as quickly. Average loss was -0.97, average win was $1.83 ratio of 1.83 and win rate of 44% over 16 trades, up about 3.8 R - This brought my average win rate when combined with the previous month to 66%, still calculating other combined stats, will post it here later.
