The Question: I am trying to find a platform that I can automate everything AFTER I manually enter the trade. I have a series of complicated steps I follow for moving stops, taking profit, and wanting to convert stops to trailing stops when certain criteria are met. But there are different strategies for different scenarios, indices, volatility, etc..
The Goal: manual entry, followed by automated everything.
The Platform:
- TradingView doesn't have trailing stops for Futures.
- NinjaTrader, Tradovate, TOS and a few others have trailing stops, but lack what I need/want.
I am trying to stick to this goal of manual entry and automate everything afterwards, because I want to completely eliminate emotion after I enter.
This looks far, far more complex than any trading platform is likely to provide in a pre-made functionality. You are looking for a lot of different things based on many different conditions. You really cannot expect this to be built-in.
Many platforms will let you link a trailing stop to an indicator on the chart. I know NinjaTrader and Sierra Chart will do this, and others may as well. But all those other criteria are another matter.
The good news would be that many platforms will let you program strategies that can do just about anything. The bad news is that you will have to program them yourself, or have someone do it for you, if your criteria are very complicated.
I would look at the tools from SharkIndicators to see if they will let you do it without writing code, as @MrTrader suggests. They may meet your needs. For simple needs, you might want to simply look at the built-in Strategy Builder in NT or any similar tools in other platforms.
The more complex your requirements, the more sophistication you will need in your toolset, and the less likely it will be that a given platform will easily provide it. If you want an intermediate choice between learning to code for a platform and having it just built into the platform, you can take a look at the NT Strategy Builder and the Shark Blackbird tools.
Be prepared to roll up your sleeves, whatever you try.
Good luck.
