What is a .D chart in Tradestation?

Hi there,

I cannot use Tradestation based on my locale so I have been trying to replicate the .D chart.

Is it the pre-market, post-market or the pre- and post- market?

Anyone know?

Someone else posted it looking as well. Here's a pic.

Thank you for your response Google.

I guess Google doesn't really know either?

I ask because when I put the chart in pit hours I don't get the same chart as the .D.

I do get a chart that is closest to the .D chart when I put the chart in pre and post hours.

There are still some subtle differences so unsure why.

Charts with a symbol ending in .D have a time limited period in which they can be traded; they are only active from normal stock exchange opening times to normal stock exchange closing times. Not a 100% sure, but roughly from 09:30 till 15:30 (maybe 16:00).

Strategies used in a .D chart only work during that time period.

Thank you.

I am trying to recreate on the platform I use Overcharts. But when I compare it to someone who uses tradestation and showed me their .D my chart doesn't show all the gaps in the same places. The chart still looks different.

That's when I started looking at all the other chart options I have and the closest I found to replicating the gaps was the pre and post chart which I don't understand.

I used it Friday and made $800 closing the gap but I would like something I feel more confident using with a bit more certainty.

Thank you for response.

Greatly appreciated

Here is exactly how .D is defined in Tradestation:

I would focus on the one you are trading and not worry about the other. But maybe theres more to it?
