Hi all
My favorit indicator good work wih range and weak trend
and dosnt work with strong trend - it sell conter trend way and almost all orders failed

I dont know how to define strong trend for strategy.
Range looked line cross EMA
Trend is move below or under EMA. Almost

But strong trend - dont know how to identify
greater difference between bars HH ?

From a purely technical perspective, you could look at a linear regression channel slope

I like ADX to define trend strength. Might need to put it on a larger timeframe though if you use faster charts.

Well, one, you kinda answered yourself. If you see it repeatedly fail... YOU ARE IN a strong tend.

STOP TAKING COUNTERTREND trades.

Secondly. You can usually see a strong trend relatative to the past context. If you have a stong breakout and follow through... its probably a strong trend.

If you have higher highs and higher lows... it's probably a trend.

ALL indicators are just mathematical reflections of price or volume anyway so nothing happens till price action dictates it. Be it MACD, ADX, RSI, Oscillators ect.

But ANYTHING can and will happen so be aware. Relying on anything but price action can be tricky in my opinion.
