Hello,
I am new to this forum, I introduced myself with a short post but now I would to PM a member, because he wanted to sell an indicator and I am interested. But I cannot PM him as I am still missing a couple of own post. But to be honest, I dont know what to post or reply to other posts. Is there no way around this min own posts?
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Make sure you don't spam the site with junk posts to boost your post count and bypass our rules, or you'll be banned. Otherwise, you're all good!
There is no way around it, with one exception of being an Elite Member. We find spammers don't like to pay for Elite Membership, and this is the best spam prevention we've discovered in the 10+ years we've been doing this.

As Big Mike says, it prevents spammers but I can remember a time a long long time ago when I was a very new member and couldn't post links etc. Just find a couple of threads you find interesting and add your input or ask some additional questions. If you really can't find any threads you want to do this in, type "poll" in the search box in the top right, and answer a couple of polls and post comments there.
And if the indicator is 'secondhand', something they bought and want to sell on, check with the company the indicator came from that that is allowed. Otherwise you could buy it and if it requires machine id verification or something similar the company might cancel it when you contact them, and they find you have bought it, if there was a clause in the original software licence not allowing it to be transferred or sold on.

So long as the posts are meaningful and meant to be contributory, they will be fine and the required quota will be reached in no time. The posting requirement is simply to ensure that some thought is given, and that the posts are serious, not just a way to get the post count up.
It isn't at all hard, just write out of your actual knowledge and experience, or ask a question that is relevant to a topic, with enough explanation and context to make your post worth reading by someone else. That's all it takes: contributing something.

I have the impression that you all make it easy for me to get my necessary post count and I am starting to loose my reluctance to communicate here. Exactly how it is described in the welcome message.
So donīt consider this as meaningless spamming, as I realy appreciate your help and want to honestly thank you for your comments above.
Glad to hear it. And I see that you went ahead and became an Elite Member, so in that case the limitation of needing 5 posts to be able to send a Direct Message is no longer a consideration. As I mentioned, spammers don't want to pay $100 for each spam they send
