I'm in the middle of an Express challenge right now; and even at $77 this is valuable; however......
To Win a Challenge like this, requires that you have an "edge" of extraordinary power.
Certainly, in my opinion, all of the LeeLoo challenges are valuable lessons is what it takes to really succeed at trading.
And even if the end result is to profoundly "humble" you; it has been for me invaluable to spur on my developments of my Custom trading front-end; and Scalping Analytics with NinjaTrader 8. Without that pressure, under realistic trading conditions, I don't think I would have gotten so far.
A Thank You to LeeLoo for offering these experiences to traders; and for doing "prop trading" in an honest way.
Agreed @hyperscalper. This is sort of forcing me to get a method I've been working on coded into NT7. Worst case scenario is I pay cheap tuition and learn a lot in the process. Best case (very unlikely) is passing the eval. Middle case - fall short, but do well enough that you roll the results into a monthly eval on day 9.
A friend of mine got me onto NinjaTrader 8. He was non-technical so when he mentionned "Ninja Script" I would sort of throw up in my mouth LOL or at least ridicule the whole idea that "script" could do anything... BUT WAS I WRONG !
I'm a Java guy, high performance, multi-threaded asynchronous system guy; and C# is just a rip-off of Java that I can easily code to in a "Java style". So I spent an intense 8 months and my friend also suggested LeeLoo. Of course, I ridiculed the idea at first; but then realized that it was THE REAL DEAL and would literally FORCE me to "put up; or shut up"...
So I run a 32gb dedicated server, and wrote my own Custom Order Entry front end, I call "Thingy" which is so complex, I can't explain it here but uses high speed Triggering, and price improvement on both Entry and Exit. But it allows for LIFO incremental micro scalping management of many dozens of positions in something like MNQ or NQ and my focus is on Winning the Nasdaq; as THE BIG PRIZE.
But, yes, "magical, reliable and fast" Execution is only 1 link in the chain; but Analytics are THE most important. So now I have a reliable Micro Trend indicator fast enough to determine the Micro Trend in Real Time.
No point in going into the details of what's been coded; and how difficult it was.....
IF NOT FOR THE LEELOO challenges, I would NOT have pushed myself to the limit to solve the problem.
Also, believe it or not, I analyze the Market Depth out about 50 Tiers; and ONLY the Rithmic feed can give me the ability to have that non-aggregated "Long Range Radar" so..... well, it's been a difficult journey; now nearly completed. The Rithmic DOM generates in excess of 1000 events per second, really; which can easily be processed with compiled C# in a Ninja 8 Indicator... it's crazy what you can code up.
SO..... I used to make fun of "proprietary trading" outfits, but did not appreciate how much it will PUSH you to be REALISTIC about what you are actually able to do !!!
I am a super high technology technical retail trader; so I don't think you can consistently win without high technology Analytics; and also Order Entry assistance which is out of this world..... BUT I recognize there are Many Paths to the goal in trading.
Anywayz.... sorry to bore y'all with the details, of which there are many; but LeeLoo's offerings are hands down the very best technology platform on which to Challenge your Boasting and force you to deliver.
Yes, it's Cheap at any price; in my view; and every trader has a different style; but they are HONEST and OBJECTIVE, and there is no better Execution platform available. For example, I can get "Round Trip Market Order executions" from my dedicated New York City server into Chicago in 45-65 milliseconds; and in every case under 100 milliseconds; and this is comparable to Live Rithmic Routing.
'Nuff said; but LeeLoo is serious, honest and will force you to Deliver results; to convince yourself you either can do it; or had better find something else to do with your money. LOL
LeeLoo Rocks !! no doubt about it; and I'm so grateful they offer their service. If you are fortunate to Qualify; then you can do an 80/20 profit split with them on a large account; which I believe then moves to a 90/10 split. Don't underestimate the need to have a large account; even if you are a successful Micro Scalper... think about it; it's a great deal.
as @brach says, and I'd like to clarify, I've done only Express challenges (this is my 7th and I think final) but these require $6k net profit in an intense 10 trading days. But he would know more about rollover of any profits into their longer duration qualification program; which I haven't done.
