FYI, I think it's important for people to know about this, in case it affects you.

This applies to MC version 14, I have the EasyLanguage version but I would assume this applies to the .NET version as well.
I don't know if it matters, but I use range charts.

I recently had a problem whereby some data would not plot on my charts. For the previous day (and some other previous days as well), my charts would not show data after the time I closed MC the previous day until the next session started. For example, for the Emini-S&P500 futures contract, I quit & closed MC at ~12:20 pm (Central Time), then on the next day, data would not plot on my charts from yesterday 12:22 pm until yesterday 3:30 pm (when the 3:15pm--3:30pm trading break ended and trading started again). So my charts were missing data from 12:22pm to 3:30pm. Obviously, my indicators had a data gap so they were showing wrong information.

I found a workaround fix -- unselect the "break on session" checkbox (that option is in the ~data/symbol format/properties window on one of the tabs). So far, that fix is working.

As of today, I can't reproduce the problem anymore, so it's an intermittent bug, and since MC took many weeks to start looking into this problem, now I can't send them more info that they requested since I can't reproduce the problem anymore.

So, I recommend everyone unselecting "break on session", but if you can't do that for some reason then you might want to make sure your charts are showing data after the last day & time you closed MC.

BTW, I'm disappointed in their customer service, here's a short log of how long it took for MC to start looking at this problem:
12/22/20 I originally told MC of this problem.
12/28/20 They came out with an update for other things, which I initially thought was a fix for this problem, but it was just other things.
12/30/20 I asked them for a status update.
1/4/21 They said they're looking into this problem.
One of their customer service reps went on vacation.
1/19/21 The same customer service rep that went on vacation replied to me asking extremely basic questions like which symbol I have the problem with, etc.

It's obvious that noone even looked into this problem when I reported it, and they actually waited almost an entire month before even starting to look into it, and this included the rep actually going on vacation for 2 weeks! This is a critical problem, whereby data is missing from charts -- I sent them a screenshot showing the problem (proving it was happening), and I even said that many customers could be having data gaps without noticing this, and therefore possibly losing money due to this. I do recognize that this was over the Xmas & New Years holidays, so it's understandable for MC to have some delays. But, IDK, if I were the owner or manager of a trading software company, and a customer reported a critical data issue, I would make critical data problems a top priority, and of course I understand people are off work for the holidays, that's understandable, but you'd think they could've gotten around to it by at least 1/4/21, right?

Who is your data provider? Not saying that is the problem but might be related. I have had similar happen in Tradestation where I miss some data until I reload the data on the chart or close/restart the application. After purchasing a dedicated server I have confidence that it was also related to my network, but either way, it's not correct and can really mess you up. I would push on their customer service department hard until you get it sorted. Good luck though, I had a terrible experience with MC after I could not receive a free trial. Not paying that much for something I cannot try...

My data provider is CQG. I don't think it has to do with them because MC already has the data, the data is in MC's database, MC just wouldn't plot the data on the charts. It's gotta be an intermittent bug.
