Anyone heard of Aaron Korbs? https://www.tradacc.com/

This is not an endorsement however I was youtubing and stumbled upon Aaron. His vocabulary is very like Morad's but he doesn't mention Morad. He promotes volume-profile. He uses a lot of Morad's catch phrases. Just made me wonder.

So far what I have heard is ok.

I’ve watched some of his videos, stopped watching after getting the impression he was taking futurestrader71 ideas and promoting them as his own.

Seems legit, he treats trading like a business. He's a volume profile trader and the jargon tends to be the same. I've only watched his free stuff, but my understanding is in his paid course he shares his playbook, helps you develop a trading plan, and then he livestreams the morning session for you. It's important to note that his setups rely heavily on the developing profile which means that it's going to be a bit more challenging to diagnose/review your trading as the profile in the morning is different at the end of the day (but I think that's what the livestream is for). In terms of profitability, he did a challenge where he grew a MES account into one that could average $400/day. He succeeded, albeit he did leverage a bit. If you are a developing volume profile trader, that video series is a good watch as he goes into his setups and rationale for taking his trades.

Personally, I tend to shy away when a trading vendor's website contains verbiage such as "to see if you qualify" and "Hurry up as the seats are limited and our calendars are filling up very quickly."

I'm not saying anything negative about the program, and I've never watched any of his videos, but pretty much everything you need to know about volume profile is freely available across the interwebz. There's a ton of info in the elite section here on FIO, a complete thread dedicated to it, as well as a number of great videos and posts by @FuturesTrader71 himself.

He made a video that made me pause about immediately discounting him where he went into psychology/performance and talked about how the separation between being profitable and not profitable is incredibly slim. He did this by drawing an analogy from professional sports and looked at the stats between the best and almost best. It's a little click-baity and verbose, but it's a very good watch and I've watched it a number of times.

There's a very big difference between learning about a tool and actually being able to use and trust a tool. If the former were true, there would be many more profitable traders. I'm not endorsing Korbs, but I'm not discounting him simply because he offers a paid product with less than transparent marketing. His channel suggests to me that he's not just a talking head.

Exactly. He does seem serious about this and I don't begrudge people getting paid for their time & expertise. On the flip side, what do we have that we were not given? Give credit where credit is due.

When I caught a hint that he might be a student of Morad's, I was hopeful that there might be another perspective available on Morad's work. Being able to see an expert's methodology adapted or explained by his students helps one absorb some of their experience. He mentioned a mentor in one interview but left him/her unnamed.

Watching his youtube, he seems to be profitable, but since we didnt see all trades from his $400.00 challenge, we just have to take his word for it.

He probably learnt his method from Morad, since he has a collage of famous traders he respects, Tudor Jones,Soros,Dalio,etc... and FuturesTrader71 (which one doesn't belong) no disrespect to FT71

I was a little annoyed that you have to video chat with someone to see what the course is about and if your eligible and get the price

To save everyone time he offers a volume profile course and chatroom. He livestreams for around 2 hours from the market open for 4 days and the 5th day he reviews the week, and twice a week Q&A.

The Price is $3000 for 1 year

Now compared to Convergent Trading, which is FuturesTrader71's baby

Chatroom and forum, with one chatroom that is listen only with 4 head traders including FT71
twice weekly webinars about different subjects
marketstats reports, chart definitions, stalkzones (levels that might be important during the trading day)(i don't know if Korbs offers this)
Convergent has no course, but instead, alot of key webinars. (It would be good if convergent had a course plan. Its like a puzzle , they give you the pieces but you have to put it together yourself

The Price 100/month or 850/year

I am a member of convergent and would of joined Korbs chat room if it was reasonable (he doesnt offer the chatroom/livestream by itself)

When I began to consider a Convergent membership, I was hoping for a methodological approach from FT, not terribly formal but a path, so to speak. Korbs seems to be more "path" oriented. I remember teaching my young son about things, sometimes I just had to take his head in my hands and gently point him at the thing to focus on. I had decades of experience but I wanted him to see what I saw rather than "put it together himself".

Hello traders,

Just to set the record straight, there is no association between Aaron Korbs and myself or Convergent Trading or Edge Clear. He was a Convergent Trading member and isn't any more. His views and what he is doing is completely separate from me.

Happy new year to you all!

It’s $3K so I just want to make sure it’s a solid investment
