Welcome!

Thought this might be a good place to share cocktail recipes. I'll start off with a classic prohibition-era drink that's simple to make if you have the right ingredients

The Last Word
=============
3/4 oz. beefeater or tanqueray london dry gin
3/4 oz. green chartreuse
3/4 oz. luxardo maraschino liquor
3/4 oz. fresh-squeezed lime juice

instructions:
add all the ingredients to a shaker with ice and shake, pour into either a coupe or a rocks glass.

BONUS: swap out gin for a good mezcal and I think it is even better, gives a great smoky quality that works great with the other ingredients!

Enjoy!

I'm a HUGE fan of gin. I've never heard of or tried luxardo maraschino, but gonna look for it, and give this a try.

Something simple:

Water

Add the juice of a quart of bourbon

Sip slowly.

Speaking as an equal opportunity alcoholic, I would totally drink that. Yes, both of them

@bobwest When I have a chance to indulge, Bourbon is my go to! I've got a few good recipes to add here that are bourbon-based, but straight bourbon is a thing of beauty

Thought I'd add another simple classic, Underberg - "The original Rheinberg Herbal Digestif

Outside of creating a great cocktail, this is one of the best conversation-pieces I know of, grab one of these tins and I don't think you'll be disappointed. If you have people over then Underberg becomes a thing to talk about and the conversation goes in a million directions. If you're by yourself and contemplating life its an interesting, metitative shot. Slamming one of these tiny bottles is always a lot of fun.
