As i mention i've been here with futures.io (formerly BMT) for while just chatting with other traders trying to figure out i'm i on the right path. But i think to find that out others need to hear my journey so here i am. I mainly trade CL, GC & TF not all at the same time i have a small account and the pressure of being out of work and needing to be profitable on a monthly basis. My trading goals are 2 contracts for 450 usd per day i scale 1 off @ 10 ticks and a runner w/100 tick target however if i get an exit signal i will take profit. I have been trading now for about 2 yrs. so i'm still a beginner i'm hoping the jounal will help me see my faults more clearly and maybe the input from others can provide new ideas. This past week i had 4 winning days and one losing day but i was 800.00 over my weekly target. Nt 6.5 is the platform that i'm using and i trade the CCi as my main indicator. I will provide charts beginning next week. Thks for question, comments and critcism.
First of all, a week with four winning days and one losing day is pretty darn good. If this is normal for you, stop selling yourself short in terms of your ability. If this is not normal, figure out what you did right this week and do it as many times as possible!
Second, the journal is a great place to explore your mental discipline and get feedback from others. If you really believe you are on the right path, don't let anyone change your mind or try to change the way you are trading.
Lastly, I too enjoyed the Bible reference. Here's another one for you. "I can do all things through God who gives me strength".
Cheers....

Thanks for your support on my first post here at futures.io (formerly BMT), today went pretty well only took 4 trades 1 b/e +1 and 3 small winners on CL for a net of 647.00 trading two contracts 1 off @ 10 ticks and a runner with trl stop. I've done stats that show my trl stop sometimes takes me out of bigger trades but i have a hard time at staying b/e until i get an exit signal i'm not sure how to combat this because it's all emotional, i've tried aiao but i could not let the trades run to the target i'm more comfortable with some quick profit and then i can let it move a little.
Today was my worst trading day in the last two weeks, not because i loss, but because i failed to follow my very basic rules. First i was trading in the pre-market which is not in my plan and of course it was a lossing trade then i told myself that all i needed to do was get to b/e before the open so 2 more trades 2 more losers so now i down nice but no panic i got up and left the room and did not return until the open of GC. So i'm calm all i need is a signal so wait and boom it's long i'm in +26 ticks on 2 cont so i'm almost b/e 2 more trades 2 more wins CL, and TF done for the day with 751.00 usd but i still want say that this is not how i should be trading. CONSISTENCY IN DISCIPLINE is going to make me a better trader yes i made some profit my acct won today but my quest to be better well let's calln this a minor set back.
