I have been using ThinkorSwim with TD AmeriTrade and realize they are not the best for futures. I think I am going to go with Sierra Charts and need to know what all I need. With TD AmeriTrade it was all in one, platform, broker and data. I assume I need to purchase all these separately and wondering what is everyones experience of best broker and data feed for futures? I will start out trading the micro ES and maybe CL.

Thanks

I don't think you can go wrong with these guys https://edgeclear.com/trading-platforms/
It was started up by Futures Trader 71 who is a frequent poster on here. He's a well known and well respected trader, look him up.
His daily trader bite, which is a free round up of the previous day's price action and expected moves for the session ahead is a fabulous resource.
I don't use it myself as I'm based in the UK so would have issues moving money to the US but I can assure you that he's legit and actually gives a sh*t about his fellow traders. If you contact him on twitter he'll probably respond to you directly as well.
I'm sure Big Mike and others can vouch for him too.

You might want to check out AMP. I've been with them a year and they have always been prompt, helpful, and professional in their response to me. Low intraday margins for MES ($40), which also apply to overnight (with the exception of the last five minutes of the day session, which requires full CME margin), and no inactivity fees.

I trade MES and use Sierra Chart (package 3), which is free through AMP. There is a pretty steep learning curve for SC. I also use SC's Denali/TT Routing for data. SC only supports Windows, so no smart device apps available. Everything is setup through AMP and all payments come directly out of my AMP account.

RT commissions for MES are 0.78/0.74 for accounts under/over $10k. If you signup with AMP, don't check the box to get lower margins or you will end up paying higher commissions.

When I go to AMP page and select TT/Trading Technologies, when selecting platform "NEW TT (W)-web"
is the only option. How do you get Denali/TT from AMP?

You set this all up through AMP when you sign up and fund your account.

Make certain you are at AMP Futures. There is/was an "AMP Trading" that was a scam.

This is where I checked, wonder why they don't have it listed here?

The commission structure is the same as CQG. Don't know why they haven't added Denali, but they confirmed that in a email to me.

I use SC and CQG data feed and I'm very happy with the combination. 5 years with AMP futures, never had a problem with them.

I just made the switch from TOS to AMP. Using Sierra chart with the CQG data feed. The data cost 10 dollars a month but there’s no lag at all. Loved TOS but we both know the commissions on futures and margins is ridiculous
