I'm interested in OF and MP. Any opinions on which product is better Mzpack or Gomi?

Gomi seems more popular here, but I was impressed with my Mzpack trial. Mzpack is also cheaper, while Gomi has a big following.

Thanks.

Glad you posted this. Ive been getting into Order FLow to help me refine my current methods and Ive been seriously considering Gomi. Ill check out MzPack, thats new to me, and post any ideas I might have. Gomi seems pretty solid and the guy has good support from what I have read. Have you tried Gomi's trial yet? He has a 2 week trial that could help you compare the two using similar parameters.

I looked at another traders indicator, Valtos from OrderFLow, but the guy has shotty support and just takes your money without delivering the product. Avoid him in case you come across his name...I think he might have a good system but its not worth the risk or cost IMO.

What material are you using to learn more about Order Flow Trading? Ive been watching a lot of videos on Youbute. Anything you might recommend? Valtos has a book that he posted online that Ive been going through and its pretty good but I cant find the link to share at the moment.

Gomi is the reference in this field, for a long time now, I won't go somewhere else for OF/MP tools.

mzpack

- never used it, so no comment

gomicators

- I'm using tools from @gomi for over 10 years (since nt 6.5)
- if I'm not mistaken, gomi was the first to create a volume ladder for ninjatrader. so there's a lot of experience
- his programming skills and knowledge of nt is difficult to beat
- his tools are working flawlessly, no issues. he also updates them frequently. and those updates are very unique. the custom up/down signal indicator is a perfect example. even without any coding experience, you can create your own signals. haven't seen that anywhere else
- support is also excellent
- and not to forget, gomi is a well known member here for a very long time
- I certainly trust gomi more than some stranger from russia

I would respectfully disagree with you sir. I have Mike Valtos Orderflows tools and use them for a long time. His support has been nothing but excellent (email questions, platform support, product training videos and group training.)

May I ask what you are basing your assumptions on?

thanks! Good luck whichever platform you end up going with!

Johnny

Hey Guys!

I've a question concerning these two products.

I'm currently testing MZPack for backtesting purposes, but i can't test with it because of massive performance problems.

For backtesting (i preload date range 2019/01 to 2019/12) i only need VAH/VAL + POC of the previous day (As a S&R and Trend-Direction-Filter) but it's impossible with MZPack.

Any experience with Gomi concerning performance with pre-loaded charts? Are there similar performance problems? I mean i've found a free alternative without any performance issues, but i dont trust the accuracy of the free indicator.

I think if you're using tick replay, you will face some kind of performance problems no matter what software you're testing. as far as vah/val & poc you don't really need tick replay, minute date should be sufficient imho. you might be off 1 tick every once in a while, but nothing dramatic.

like mentioned before, take the free trail and see for yourself

minute data: (2019/01 to 2019/12)

tick replay: (2019/01 to 2019/12)

Thanks Silvester!

I will try Gomi when the MZPack Trial ends. With MZPack it’s not possible to display VA & POC when not in stick Replay Mode. At least I haven’t got it run.
