Hi all,

Iam trading now for a couple of years european Futures, but Iam new to TS. Iam struggeling with the coding to turn an indicator into a strategy.

Iam looking at the H4 indicator value for a direction and H1 indicator value should open trades with TP/SL etc..

Its a really simple strategy, but I couldnt find anything helpful so far to use 2 values from the indicator to set up the strategy.

Does anyone have an idea/articel/example to help me out?

Thanks in advance!

If you want to dive in, then open one of the strategies that comes with TradeStation and start working with it. Look at the code and you will get an idea of how things work. With that being said....

You may want to check out TS learning resources: https://www.tradestation.com:443/learn/

There are also a lot of other resources on the internet. Just search 'learn EasyLanguage' and you will find some good resources and lots of examples to get you started.

Learning to code strategies takes time to learn and a lot of patience. You may also want to look into Kevin Davey's writings, specifically Building Winning Algorithmic Trading Strategies.

Hi vmodus,

thanks for your quick reply, I really appreciate it!

I checked the ideas you mentioned, but sometimes its quite hard to understand it. For further developments is there any coding service you could recommend?

Enjoy your weekend!

You're welcome. @ABCTG offers services I believe, and they are based in Germany, too. They have been very helpful in helping me through some issues. Send a private message (PM) to them and maybe they can assist.
