Hi guys,

I just signed up to this forum, although I have been in here every once in a while to read on different topics. I am considerably new trading futures although I have been trading forex through CFDs for more than 8 years. I've been consistently profitable for the past 2 years doing that.

I've decided to try trading futures recently by joining Oneuptrader's evaluation, currently in my 3rd trading day. (Prior to this, I've tried TST many years ago when I was still unprofitable in my trading, failing their combine numerous times and gave up)

So I was hoping to up my futures trading game by getting forumers to guide me on what are the important things I should be learning to trade futures.

The skills I would say I currently equipped myself with would be some TA, risk management and a strong heart & mind.

I've seen here and there in the forum where forumers discuss of the DOM, order flow, etc. It would really help if someone could direct me on what is a MUST HAVE skill for futures trading.

Thanks.

I am new to futures trading as well. I am looking forward to read this thread and the advice from more experienced futures traders.

I trade primarily on price and volume chart reading (wyckoff methodology) and that may be a good place to start.

By trading futures you will be adding more complexity to your decision making process due to the extra amount of information you will be exposed to via volume based studies (amongst others).

I would start by asking yourself what it is you want to improve on in your fx trading. If you are consistently profitable with a solid system/mindset then why dip your toe into futures? All you would have to do is increase your position size in fx to increase your profits.

Probably not a popular opinion but if it ain't broke then why try to fix it?
