After using some online journals I have decided to create my own, I am just a begginer on Excel and on trading, so I have passed the last 10 days studying a little of VBA, Power Query and Excel to make this Spreadsheet which I would like to share.
Feel free to correct me if anything is wrong or if something is missing, because I dont know all the information I should be looking for.
I tried to make an automated Spreadsheet for Sierra and if you'd like to try it, everything is explained inside.
Keep in mind it was done with Office 365, in case you get any formula error.
I am trying to help people like me, who is searching for an Excel Journal, don't wanna pay online journals anymore, and dont really want to write all the trades manually in Excel.
Foreverlearner - this looks like a superb effort however I can't find a way to export Sierra trades so they align with SierraTradeList G15 through AF15. I am using the latest Sierra, perhaps something has changed or I am not using "Trade Activity Log" properly.
This is my new journal with and without Macros, not much has changed, I just added some more stats that I use today.
Without Macro is attached.
With Macro I had to upload to onedrive (I read that with Macro can be dangerous, so download the normal one and create your own macros after. The ones I use are listed inside).
Thanks for sahring with everyone your amazing work! I was playing around withe file a bit and noticed that whenever I press "Refresh metrics" button then I get the row 4 columns F,I and J always empty ( see attached marked with blue arrow).
